Over 80 community members and leaders attended the draft presentation on September 17, 2013 of the Five Wounds Area Urban Village Plans (Roosevelt Park, Five Wounds, 24th and William Street, and Little Portugal) from the City of San José. CommUniverCity San José worked with Five Wounds / Brookwood Terrace (FWBT) residents, SJSU faculty and students, and many land use, health and environmental organizations to integrate the FWBT community’s vision for a healthy, connected neighborhood into the City of San José’s Envision 2040 General Plan Update. Planning and elected officials have selected the FWBT BART Village plan as a model to be emulated by other communities throughout the city.
All four of these Urban Villages Plans may be viewed here.
