Those are the <a href=\"http:\/\/cucsj.org\/vi\/about-us\/what-we-do\/\">three core pillars<\/a> that inspire students, faculty, residents, and partners to continuously build social capital in the local community. Every year, we acknowledge and recognize the hard work of all those who work with us in common cause to design and implement our community-building projects at Celebrating Partnerships. This past\u00a0 Wednesday\u2019s gathering marked CommUniverCity\u2019s 13<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary with 275 supporters in attendance. Another highlight included a raffle where lucky winners received prizes provided by University Advancement, Santa Clara County\u2019s Consumer &amp; Environmental Protection Agency, SJSU Athletics, and Associated Students\u2019 Transportation Solutions.<\/p>\n<p>Near the end of the evening, San Jose District 3 Councilmember, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.raulperalez.com\/\">Raul Peralez<\/a>, and San Jose State University\u2019s Associate Vice President of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sjsu.edu\/sfs\/\">Student and Faculty Success<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sjsu.edu\/sfs\/sfs-units\/index.html\">Stacy Gleixner<\/a>, recognized the hard work of CommUniverCity and congratulated awardees on being selected as <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/cucsj.org\/vi\/communivercitans\/\">CommUniverCitans of the Year<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>The three award recipients exemplify community leadership and long-term commitment to building great neighborhoods in San Jose.
