Bobbi Makani is the Director for Community Engaged Learning of CommUniverCity San José. She leads and manages all aspects of the community-based learning programs of CUC. She has spearheaded initiatives and projects to get more faculty and students involved in community based experiential learning. She will be actively engaging faculty and students to develop community based learning components within the curriculum for CommUniverCity projects.
Bobbi is a faculty at the San José State University College of Business. Her areas of expertise include social innovation, entrepreneurship, strategic business development, marketing, international business and quantitative methods. Bobbi also serves as the Director of the Social Innovation Initiative, Director of Tax Engagement Opportunities with the Masters of Science and Taxation (MST) Program and Faculty-in-Residence for e-Campus at SJSU. She has started and co-founded several ventures in the areas of food service, retail, and health services and also serves as a consultant to private corporations. Bobbi’s hobbies include Chinese Brush painting and teaches this course with her husband at Stanford University every spring.
